William Carroll Mott, 83, of Longboat Key, died April 18. Born June 15, 1927, in Carlisle, Iowa, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and graduated from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, and law school at Drake University, in Des Moines.
