DES MOINES -- Central Lee’s Jake Shannon, Nick Fedler and Katie Hocker participated in the Class 2A State Track Meet at Drake Stadium. Shannon ran in the preliminaries of the 110-meter high hurdles Friday. He finished fourth in his heat and 11th overall with a time of 15.51.

The Huntsville Police Department will be joining hundreds of law enforcement officials, highway safety representatives and safety advocates nationwide who have vowed support of the annual mobilization. High visibility enforcement efforts such as “Click it or Ticket” are credited with the increasing national seatbelt usage rate from 58% in 1994 to an observed usage rate of 84%.

Bradley senior Mary Goldkamp ran a career-best 2:10.12 and finished fourth in the unseeded heat of the 800 meters Thursday at the 102nd Drake Relays. Keelie Finnel of Coe College won in the event in a time of 2:06.83.
